Mrs. Pearl Hoagland Rites are Saturday

Funeral services for Mrs. Pearl Ethel Hoagland, 73, a resident of Red Oak for 40 years until moving to Omaha five years ago, will be held Saturday, Dec. 18, at 2 pm at the Nelson Chapel here. The Rev. Orval Roach will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

She died Tuesday, Dec. 14 at Omaha after an extended illness.

The duaghter of Isaac and Margaret Carver, she was born Feb., 14, 1892, at Butler, Mo. and was married in 1909 to John W. Ward.

In 1926 she was married to Albert D. Hoagland, who died in 1951.

Surviving are three sons, Douglas Ward, Ogden, Utah, James W. Ward of Ft. Worth, Tex., and Albert H. Ward, Essex; two duaghters, Mrs. John Williams of Shenandoah amd Mrs. Don Cowen of Omaha; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ercy N. Carver, Chillicthe, Mo. and Ira D. Carver, Fort Scott, Kan; sister Mrs. Art Scribner, San Diego, Calif.
