Death of John Otto - Nov. 23.1900

John Otto died at his home, four miles northeast of Red Oak, Thursday morning, Nov. 22, after a short illness. He was born in Maryland. He was married in 1837, in Eastern Indiana, and among the guests at the wedding was L.N. Harding of Red Oak. The 60th anniversary of that wedding was celebrated in 1887 and Mr. Harding was a guest there also. Mr. Otto had been a resident of this county 60 years. Mrs. Otto and a daughter Mrs. Manning, residing in Missouri, survive him. The funeral services were held in his home on Friday morning and were conducted by Rev J.A. Shaw, of the Baptist church.
