HINES, Mr. W. W.
Thursday, May 1, 1877 - Mr. W. W. Hines, one of the old settlers of this county, accidentally came to his death on the 9th inst. He was riding on a corn planter, when the team became frightened by reason of the tongue slipping from the neck-yoke; the horses started to run, the old gentleman was thrown in front of the planter and was fatally wounded. Mr. Hines was seventy-one years of age and in good health at the time of the accident. He came from Indiana to Montgomery County in 1854. (Montgomery County Express)
