Isan T Chedister 79, died at 6:50 a.m. today at his home in Kirkville, Iowa. He was born in Wapello County April 1, 1867 the son of Floyd and Celesta Chedister, He had barbered in Blakesburg, Ottumwa and Kirkville for more than 50 years retiring in 1940. Survivors are his wife, Mellie, two sons Edmond and Harold both of Ottumwa, two sisters, Mrs. O.G. Loyer of Cedar Falls and Mrs. Laura Deming of Grinnell and a brother George Chedister of Des Moines. Also six grand children and two great- grand children. Mr. and Mrs. Chedister would have been married 50 years on May 3. The body is at the Lester Jay funeral home and arrangements for services have not been made.
