Chariton. AP - Mrs. Margaret Richmond was killed last midnight when the car in which she was riding struck a stop sign and upset. Red Crawley, the driver, was arrested here for investigation. The accident occurred on the Harding highway, 8 miles east of Chariton Junction.

The Guardians Are to Look After Their Immediate Wants

Judge Dashiell held two special sessions of court in vacation within the past week. The first was held last Friday afternoon when the minor children of Mrs. Margaret Richmond, who was recently killed in an automobile accident near Melrose, were given into the custody of relatives. Elmer Richmond, the guardian, appeared in court for advice. The elder children, William, aged 17 and Mildred, aged 15, were placed in the home of Ed Cleary. The younger children, Lucille and Leona, aged thirteen and ten respectively, were given into the keeping of the guardian. The arrangements were temporary.
