Scieszinski, James L.

JANESVILLE - James L. Scieszinski, age 75, of 1418 Bennett ST., died Sat., March 2, 1996 at Mercy Hospital. He was born March 5, 1920 in Melrose, IA, the son of Edward and Catherine (White) Scieszinski. He was a graduate of Janesville High School. James married Sally Ellis on May 1, 1951 in Beloit. He served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He was a former member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. James was an avid Craig High School basketball fan.

Survivors include his wife, Sally of Janesville; 4 children: Robert Scieszinski of Janesville, Judy (James) Pederson of Monona, WI, Suanne (Kenneth) Jedlinski of Atlanta, GA, and Beth (Charles) Powell of Janesville; and 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents: and a brother, Thomas Scieszinski.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thurs., March 7, 1996 at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME with Fr. John Hedrick officiating. Entombment will be in Mt. Olivet Mausoleum. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
