The sad intelligence of the death of his sister, Mrs. Kate Gorman, of Avery, was received by James Foley Friday. Her death was sudden and occurred Jan. 15. The funeral was held Tuesday morning at the Catholic church in Albia, Rev. Father Guinan celebrating requiem mass and also preached a most touching funeral sermon. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery at Albia. She is survived by her aged husband and two sons and two daughters, all of whom were present at the funeral. Relatives from the west end who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. James Foley, John Foley, Mr. and Mrs. S.D. O'Bryan and Mr. and Mrs. John Scieszinski. The relatives have the sympathy of all in their sorrow.
