William G. Scieszinski

William G. Scieszinski, 90, of Janesville, Wis., died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002 at Mercy Hospital. A mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002, at St. William Catholic Church, Fr. Del Klink officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
He was born Feb. 20, 1912, to William S. and Teresa Fitzgerald Scieszinski in Melrose. He married Bernice Fett June 13, 1942 in Janesville. He has been a Janesville resident since 1935. He retired from General Motors in 1975, after 40 years. He was a charter member of St. William Catholic Church and a member of UAW Local 95.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, William, and Michael and wife Abigail, all of Janesville; seven daughters, Mary Ellen Scieszinski, Carole Meyer and husband Joe, and Colleen Piccione and husband Richard, all of Janesville, Susan Kempf and husband Tom of Berlin, Diane Svenkeson and husband John of Marine-on-St. Croix, Minn., Bette Groven and husband John of Richfield, Minn., and Marsha Case and husband John of Beloit; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Maurice and wife Margaret Scieszinski of Melrose; and four sisters, Bernice McCarty of Albia, Regina Roach of Chariton, Helen Scieszinski of Melrose, and Grace Rousch and husband Henry of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by one son, Donald; two brothers, Michael and Francis; and two sisters, Mary and Teresa Scieszinski.
Visitation will be at the Schneider Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2002.
Schneider Funeral Directors, Inc. of Janesville, Wis. is in charge of arrangements.
