Mrs. Michael Fitzgerald Dead

Mrs. Michael Fitzgerald died at her home near Weller at 12:30 o'clock Sunday morning after a long illness which she bore with patient resignation. She was tenderly cared for in her last illness by her daughters and friends who done everything in their power to make her comfortable.

Ever a most devout member of the Catholic church she ____ all preparation consolation in her last hours and her death was most beautiful.

She is survived by her husband, one son, edward and five daughters. Mrs. frank Scieszinski, Mrs. Wm. Scieszinski, of Melrose. Mrs. James Kelleher of Georgetown, Mrs. Con O'Brien of Weller and Miss Maggie at home and one brother, Sylvester Barron, of Sioux City all of whom were with her in her last moments. the funeral was held Monday morning from the late home to St. Mary's church in Weller where Requiem Mass was celebrated by her nephew, Rev. Father Barron, of Davenport. The funeral sermon was preached by the pastor Rev. Father Purtell, of Lovillia.

The pall bearers were her four sons-in-law, Frank and Wm. Scieszinski, James Kelleher, Con O'Brien and two nephews Matt Barron and Thos. Shovlain.

Relatives from Melrose who attended the funeral were, Mr. and Mrs. John Luttrell, Mr. and Mrs. John ward, Mrs. Thos. Fitzgerald, Mrs. J.L. Dinneen, Mrs. Ray Hannam and Mr. and Mrs. James Carr. Internment was made in the Catholic cemetery at Weller.
