Mrs. Sue Downs Died Shortly After Noon Thursday

Mrs. Sue Downs, 86 years of age, died at her home on North Second street shortly after noon today, following a several months illness. Her daughter, Madge, and step-son, Art Downs and wife of Ottumwa, were with her at the time of her death.

Funeral arrangements had not been completed as this issue of the Union - Republican goes to press.

Downs Funeral Services Held Last Saturday

Funeral services for Mrs. Sue M. Downs were held from the home Saturday afternoon, with Rev. A. H. Barker, pastor of the First Methodist church officiating. Mrs. Downs was 86 years of age and her death came as a result of a stroke of paralysis on August 18.

She is survived by one daughter, Madge, and two sons, Art of Ottumwa and Charles of Spokane, Wash.
