Mary M. Sulentic

Mary Martha Sulentic, 66, of Albia Route 2 died June 25 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.

She was born in Monroe County on June 3, 1917 the daughter of Tony and Ramona Buyan Kauzlarich. A lifelong resident of the Albia area she was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, the Eagles and the American Legion Auxiliary.

On Jan. 22, 1942 she married Frank Sulentic. He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Jim of Des Moines and Tony of Albia; three daughters, Linda Nicoletto and Kristine Jorgensen, both of Des Moines and Mary Ann Seals of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren; seven brothers, Charles of Chicago, Ill., Joe of East Moline, Ill., John of Baltimore, Md., Emil of Knoxville, Rudy of Colon, Ill., Richard of Oskaloosa and Paul of Eddyville; four sisters, Frances Kipfer of Albia, Stephana Deal of Bloomfield, Helen Woodward of Moline, Ill. and Gloria Crall of Moravia and her mother Ramona Kauzlarich of Albia.

She was preceded in death by four children in infancy, one half-brother, two sisters and one half- sister.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Albia with the Rev. Philip Cardenzana officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

A rosary will be at 7:00 tonight (Tuesday) at the Humeston-Gilbert Funeral Home.

An open memorial has been established.
