Mrs. E. D. HOOPES will be buried here at 3:30 P.M. today. Evergreen. Died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ed GILTNER in Albia. When she lived in Fairfield, she resided at the corner of 4th & Adams Sts.. Widow of a Civil War veteran and was the aunt of Miss Hattie HOOPES and Harley HOOPES of this city. She was born in Jefferson County.

Obituary, Sarah Jane HOOPES, widow of the late Dow HOOPES. Born in Jefferson County Sept. 29, 1848, daughter of the late Anthony and Rachel KELTNER DOWNING... In 1869 married James GALLIHER, a nephew of James A. GALLIHER of Jefferson County.... Within a few months she was called upon to mourn the death of her young husband. To this union one daughter, Hattie E., now Mrs. W. E. GILTNER of Albia.

IN 1873 married Ezra Dow HOOPES.... Leaves daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. GILTNER of Albia, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.... Laid to rest beside her loved ones in the Evergreen cemetery at Fairfield.
