BRADEN, ESLINGER, CALDWELL

The funeral of Alta BRADEN, who died Monday evening, July 26th, was held at the
Christian church Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by the pastor, Orval WALKER.
Miss BRADEN was born in Monroe county, Iowa, Febrtuary 29th, 1856, and lived on the
old BRADEN homestead until March, 1920, when she moved with her sister, Mrs.
Marion ESLINGER and family to their present home in Blakesburg, where she passed
away after a long and lingering illness. Of her immediate relatives she leaves to mourn her
departure two sisters, Mrs. Mary E. CALDWELL of Albia and Mrs. Marion ESLINGER
of this city also a nephew, Wm. CALDWELL of Centerville, Iowa, four nieces, Mrs. L. A.
NEFF and Mrs.Edward FORSTER of Albia, Mrs. John MacMILLAN of Mason City,
Iowa, and Miss Osa ESLINGER of this city She was a most kind and loving woman and
her numerous friends will miss her gracious presence. Her pleasant manner and agreeable
ways won for her a place among her friends which will be long remembered by them. The
Excelsior unites with the entire community in extending sympathy to the relatives in their
hour of sorrow.
