DEATH OF 7 YEAR OLD BOY IS RESULT OF SCARLET FEVER.
Albia, April 16.-The death of little Murrel Ward, oldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Ward occured at their home Friday night from scarlet fever and throat trouble. Murrel had been sick but a few days.Because of the contagious disease there was no funeral service and burial took place at Bethel Cemetery Sunday, April 14.
Murrel was born July, 28 1911 at Salt Fork, Oklahoma, where he lived until he moved to Albia with his parents March,21 1918. He entered the Albia schools, being in school only a week.SUFFERED HEART TROUBLE.
Mr. and Mrs. S.C. Wellman mourn the death of their young daughter, Ethel, who passed away at 6 o'clock Sunday morning.Ethel has suffered from heart trouble for several months not having been able to attend public school since December.
The remains were taken to Tracer this morning where services and burial took place.DEATH OF BABY BOY
Dyas, The 20 month old son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Neal, passed away Saturday night, April 18. He had been sick only since Thursday. Burial took place Sunday afternoon at Oak View Cemetery.April 19, 1918 Ottumwa Courier
