Friendly 4-H Club Taffy Pull

The Friendly 4-H club of Pleasant township enjoyed a taffy pull at the J. M. Chilton home Saturday evening, November 8-Circa 1929-1931.

The regular business meeting was held and their winnings at the Monroe County Fair of $17.14 was presented to the club. The motion was made to serve home-made candy and popcorn at the coming Farm Bureau meeting. The remainder of the evening was spent in making candy and playing games.

The club girls present included: Gertrude Van Loon, Blanche VanZante, Phyllis and Marjorie Shafer, Lois and Martha Van Zante, Martha and Cora Chilton. Guests were Mrs. T. Van Zante, H.A. Shafer, Merle Shafer, David Williams, Orville Richards and Ralph Van Zante.
