2 July 2025Donna L. Anderson, 76, of Onawa, Iowa passed away Monday, June 23, 2025 at Accura Healthcare, Onawa, Iowa.
A memorial service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel, Onawa, Iowa with Evangelist Dale Wolf, officiating. A live stream of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Donna’s obituary. Burial will follow in the Graceland Cemetery, Blencoe, Iowa. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Goslar Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.
Donna Lorraine was born December 12, 1948 in Onawa, Iowa, the daughter of Donald and Elsie (Mohn) Anderson. She grew up on a farm south of Onawa. Donna graduated from West Monona High School with the class of 1967. She furthered her education in Norfolk and Wayne, Nebraska and graduated with a mathematics degree and teaching certificate. Donna taught high school mathematics in Niobrara and Walthill, Nebraska. Later she moved to South Sioux City where she shifted her focus to early childhood working with preschool children at Head Start.
She enjoyed plants, painting, collecting clocks, and M & M Memorabilia. Donna had a passion for rescuing Italian Greyhounds and traveled all over the Midwest. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Onawa, Iowa.
Survivors include her brothers, Dave Anderson of Blencoe, Iowa and Terry (Denise) Anderson of Waukee, Iowa; nephews, Jon (Meryl) Anderson of Blencoe, Iowa, Chuck Anderson of Onawa, Iowa, Donnie (Jenna Silver) Anderson of Waukee, Iowa, and Kenny (Charlene Khuler-Lindman) Anderson of Waukee, Iowa; great-nephew, Breckin Anderson of Blencoe, Iowa; and great – niece, Alexis (Taylor) Pickett of Council Bluffs, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Elsie (Mohn) Anderson; and sister-in-law, Beverly Anderson.
