Pam Hoesing died June 2, 2025, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, after a brief illness.
Pam was born to Patrick and Irma (Springer) Morrow on August 4, 1943, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She graduated from Onawa High School in Onawa, Iowa. She earned a degree in elementary education from Creighton University where she met her future husband, Dr. John J. Hoesing. They were married on December 28, 1965, in Onawa, Iowa.
She taught in the Omaha elementary schools on and off throughout her life. She prided herself as a lifelong community volunteer in Omaha. Many organizations benefited from Pam’s involvement and dedication. A select few include the Junior League of Omaha, Omaha Symphony Guild, Fontenelle Forest Guild, Omaha Town Hall Board and Methodist Hospital Foundation.
As an Iowan, she was honored as an Aksarben Countess. Her daughters and two granddaughters were Aksarben princesses. Pam served on the Aksarben Women’s Ball Committee.
Her bridge clubs and book clubs have provided her lifelong friendship. Raven Oaks, Regency, and One Pacific Place neighbors have all been enduring in Pam’s life, as well as friends of her and John’s from medical school days.
Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Dr. Keri (Scott) Philpot of Kearney, Nebraska and Kristen (Michael) O’Brien of West Chester, Ohio, and son, J.J. Hoesing of Seattle, Washington. She is survived by grandchildren: Michael O’Brien (fiancée, Lauren), Conlan, Meghan and Patrick O’Brien, Katie, Gracie and Parker Philpot, and Max Hoesing; brother, Philip Morrow; and brothers-in-law, Larry Richardson and Richard Hoesing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. John Hoesing; her parents; sister, Peggy Richardson, brother, Patrick Morrow; nephew, Jeffrey Richardson; sisters-in-law: Lorrie Hawkins, Rosemary Mackay, Debbie Hoesing and Jean Hoesing; and brothers-in-law, Jim Cook and Michael Hoesing.
VISITATION: Monday, June 9, 2025, from 5:00-7:30PM, Christ the King Catholic Church, 654 S. 86th Street, Omaha.
MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Tuesday, June 10, 2025, 10:30AM, Christ the King Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Christ the King Catholic Church and Methodist Hospital Foundation.
PRIVATE INTERMENT: Forest Lawn Cemetery
