Ruth Hadden Beall, 86, of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025 near Sioux City, Iowa.
A memorial service will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at the Moorhead Christian Church, Moorhead, Iowa with Pastor Chuck Snow, officiating. A recording of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Ruth’s obituary. A private family burial was held in the Spring Valley Cemetery, Moorhead, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.
Ruth was born July 31, 1938 on the Hadden home farm in Monona County, Iowa, the daughter of Roy and Mariam (Carritt) Hadden. She grew up on the farm and graduated from Soldier High School in 1956. She became a teaching assistant in Sioux City, Iowa.
She worked at the ASC office in Onawa until she married the love of her life Harley. Ruth Hadden and Harley Beall were united into marriage on February 9, 1958 at the Soldier Lutheran Church, Soldier, Iowa. To this union two children were born, Glenn and Paul. In 1959 the couple moved to Sioux City, Iowa. They traveled to many places including: Hawaii, England, Scotland, Canada; and enjoyed camping and outdoor activities.
She was a seamstress and made quilts for each of the granddaughters. Ruth was an artist and enjoyed creating many paintings. Ruth loved doing genealogy for the family. Ruth was involved in 4-H, Cub scouts, and the Red Hat Ladies. She was a member of the Soldier Lutheran Church and Grace Methodist in Sioux City.
Survivors include her husband, Harley Beall of Sioux City, Iowa; two sons, Glenn Beall of Scotland, South Dakota and Paul Beall of Fridley, Minnesota; grandchildren, Laura Beall, Amy (Lee) Comp, Catherine Beall, Elizabeth (Nathan) White, Gina, and Sheila; great-grandchildren, Keelan and Leif Comp and Bonnie White; sister-in-law, Darlene Hadden; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Mariam (Carritt) Hadden; parents-in-law, Cloyce and Amy (Swanson) Beall; brother, Don Hadden; sister, Rose (Larry) DuVal; and brother-in-law, Roger Beall.
