June E. Riddle, 87, of Onawa, Iowa passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Maple Heights Nursing Home, Mapleton, Iowa.

A funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Faith Lutheran Church, Onawa, Iowa with Pastor Paul Coen, officiating. A live stream of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with June’s obituary. Burial will follow in the Onawa Cemetery, Onawa, Iowa. Visitation will be 5:00 -7:00 P.M. Friday, March 1, 2024 at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel, Onawa, Iowa with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

June Ellen was born July 23, 1936, the daughter of Curt and Lorine (Kahrs) Hoffman. She grew up in Onawa and graduated from Onawa High school with the class of 1954.

June Hoffman and Loren Riddle were married on June 5, 1955 in Onawa, Iowa. Two this union four children were born, John, Mark, Jane, and Lora. Loren passed away April 23, 1977. June Riddle and Merle Savage were married on October 15, 1999. Merle passed away April 24, 2014.

June proudly called herself a farmer. She enjoyed working on the farm for many years. She loved to cook and would cook many family meals daily and for the holidays. June enjoyed traveling, antiquing, shopping, and gift giving. She loved spending time with her family.

June was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Onawa. She was a Sunday School Superintendent for many years. June was also a member of the National Farmers Organization.

Survivors include children, Mark (Tonya) Riddle of Castana, Iowa, Jane (Rob) Rumohr of Fergus Falls, Minnesota, and Lora Riddle of Onawa, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Betty Riddle of Castana, Iowa; eight grandchildren, Rachel Johnson of Spencer, Iowa, Abby (Greg) Arens of Remsen, Iowa, Lauren (Bill) Splitter of Whiting, Iowa, Curt (Kelly) Riddle of Battle Creek, Iowa, Matthew (Bri) Riddle of Oto, Iowa, Kate (Gene) Davis of Fergus Falls, Minnesota, Joel (Brittany) Rumohr of San Antonio, Texas, and Annie Rumohr of Fargo, North Dakota; many sweet great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Curt and Lorine (Kahrs) Hoffman; husbands, Loren Riddle and Merle Savage; son, John Riddle; and four sisters, Virginia (Stan) Massie, Phyllis (Paul) Nutt, Mary (Ervin) Zahn, and Dorothy (Lawrence) Gust.
