Harry Orrin Struble, 85, of Onawa, Iowa, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024, at his home surrounded by family.

A celebration of life service will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, April 5, 2024, at the Hope Evangelical Free Church, Onawa, Iowa, with Pastor Stan Johnson, officiating. Luncheon will follow at the church. Military honors will be provided by the United States Army and the David McNeill American Legion Post #129. A live stream of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Harry’s obituary. A visitation will be 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Thursday, April 4, 2024, at the Hope Evangelical Free Church, Onawa, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

Harry Orrin was born September 15, 1938, in Onawa, Iowa, the son of Merritt and Ida Faye (Miller) Struble. He attended Mapleton High School and graduated with the class of 1957. Harry served in the United States Army March 10, 1958, and was honorably discharged February 28, 1961. He received his associate degree in liberal arts from Morningside.

Harry and Diane Miller were united in marriage on December 2, 1961, in Sioux City, Iowa.

Harry worked for Onawa Theater for fifteen years. He also worked as a medical equipment sales rep for Stangel’s Home Health for over thirty-four years. Harry worked up till he was eighty-two years old.

Harry enjoyed gardening and all sports. He loved spending time with his family.

Harry was a member of the Hope Evangelical Free Church. He was baptized at Gaukel Park in the swimming pool.

Survivors include his children, Bradley Struble of Onawa, Iowa, and Harry (Nani) Struble Jr. of St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren, Andrew Struble, Austin Struble, Sydney Struble, Kylie Struble, Ethan Struble, Savannah Struble, and Ayaka Struble; great-grandchildren, Hikari, Koki, and Asahi; daughters-in-law, Tomoko Nagasaki, Carrie Struble, and Zaya Struble; sisters, Mary Jessen of Sioux City, Iowa, Beth Mauch of Castana, Iowa, and Clara (Martin) Eisenman of Blue Eye, Missouri; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Diane Struble; son, Shawn Struble, parents, Merritt and Ida Faye (Miller) Struble; and sister, Joyce Faline.
