Bill Lee Witt, 66, of Whiting, Iowa, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Unity Point Health- St. Lukes Hospital, Sioux City, Iowa.

A funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 5, 2024, at the Whiting Christian Church, Whiting, Iowa, with Pastor Jed Shermer, officiating. A live stream of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Bill’s obituary. Those attending please wear your Iowa Hawkeye attire. Luncheon will follow the funeral service at the church. A burial will follow the luncheon in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City, Iowa. A visitation will be 5:00- 7:00 P.M. Thursday, January 4, 2024, with a 7:00 P.M. prayer service at the Whiting Christian Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

Bill Lee was born January 28, 1957, in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Billie and LaDonna (Scott) Witt. He grew up in Sioux City and graduated from North High School in 1976. Bill attended Western Iowa Tech Community College and received his degrees in Auto Body Repair and Automotive Painting. He was very well known for his work and had received many awards.

Bill and Debra Dais were united into marriage July 29, 1977, in Sioux City, Iowa. To this union they had two sons, Kevin and Justin.

He worked for a body shop and painted semis and later was a manager of Hoak. Bill worked at Sioux Plating as salesman and later for National Coatings and supplies, where he was a territory salesman. He enjoyed being a salesman and talking to everyone he met along the way.

Bill enjoyed restoring cars and painting them for car shows. He loved attending many car races. Bill enjoyed going camping, trips to the Black Hills, collecting rocks, listening to music, singing, and he was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan. Bill loved to spend time with his family, especially his two sons and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Debra Witt of Whiting, Iowa; two sons, Kevin Witt of Sioux City, Iowa, and Justin Witt of Sioux City, Iowa; grandchildren, Brenden Witt, Jade Witt, Antonio Mosaquites, Anicia Rodriguez, Mia EagleChasing, Donnie Mohr, Donavin Mohr, Amaya Mohr, and Tre Mohr; sisters, Penny (Mike) Overman of Versailles, Ohio, Jeryl (Don) Withee of Whiting, Iowa, and Lori (Brian) Bensman of Versailles, Ohio; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Billie and LaDonna (Scott) Witt; paternal grandparents, Vernie and Lois (Ogden) Witt; and maternal grandparents, John and Velora (McAdon) Scott.
