Nels L. Anderson, 81, a Sergeant Bluff resident for 47 years, died Saturday at Onawa, la.

Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Community Methodist church in Sergeant Bluff. Rev. Merle Davies will officiate. Burial will be under direction of the Pearson funeral home of Onawa.

Mr. Anderson was born August 18, 1872, in Norway. He came to Sergeant Bluff in 1906. After 50 years' service on the Chicago and North Western railroad, he retired. He married Sopie Severtson at Bergen, Norway, August 11, 1906.

Survivors are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Lillian Spencer of Sergeant Bluff; two sons, Dr. Stanley N. Anderson of Onawa and Alfred of Gomer, O., a brother, Knud of Hollywood, Calif., and two other brothers in Norway.

Funeral services for Nels L. Anderson, 81, a resident of Sergeant Bluff 47 years who died Saturday, will be held at 2 p. m. today at the Community Methodist church. Rev. Merlin Davies will officiate and burial will be in the Sergeant Bluff cemetery under the direction of the Pearson funeral home of Onawa.

Pallbearers will be Luther and Lee Godfredson, Marvin Hansen, Randall Pease, Clyde Pickrel and Leon Beebee.

Honorary pallbearers will be Will Coyne, L. A. Westfall, Al Certain, A. D. Benson, Adam Wies, E. B. Carter, Fred Colby, Dr. R. N. Conmey, Len Huff, Con Husby, Wesley Sargeant, Fred Byers, Glenn Jennings, all of Sergeant Bluff, and Fred Wonder and Oscar Jacobson, both of Onawa.
