Robert “Bob” Bridgeman, Jr., age 66, of Mapleton, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at his residence of Mapleton, Iowa.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 27, 2023, at the Armstrong-Van Houten Funeral Home of Mapleton, Iowa. Jared Phillips Zobel will officiate. Committal Services will follow in the St. Clair Township Cemetery of Ute, Iowa.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at the Armstrong-Van Houten Funeral Home of Mapleton, Iowa

The Armstrong - Van Houten Funeral Home of Mapleton, Iowa is in charge of the funeral arrangements.

Robert Ray Bridgeman, Jr. “Bob” the son of Robert Sr. and Elsie (Pauley) Bridgeman, was born on June 28, 1956, in the Hartley Hospital of Battle Creek, Iowa.

On January 16, 1976, Bob married the love of his life Bonny and together they were blessed with three children: Stacy, Bobby Jo, and Kirk. Later in life Bob loved fishing and treasured his grandchildren: Austin, Morgan, Chase, Dustin, Brooke, Elsie, and Eva.

He will be remembered for his unique sense of humor and one of a kind easy going laid back personality. But most of all his love for his family.

Survivors include his devoted wife Bonny Bridgeman of Mapleton, IA; children: Stacy (Steve) Hein of Castana, IA, Bobby Jo (Josh) Sipma of Mapleton, IA and Kirk (Tosha) Bridgeman of Mapleton, IA; grandchildren: Austin (Anna) Bridgeman, Morgan Spencer, Chase Spencer, Dustin Sipma, Brooke Bridgeman all of Mapleton, IA, Elsie Hein of Castana, IA and Eva Bridgeman of Mapleton, IA; great grandchild baby boy Bridgeman on the way; sister Betty Gray of Blencoe, IA; best friend Neil Knutson of Oslo, MN; many nieces, nephews, extend family and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by parents Robert and Elsie Bridgeman; grandparents; sister LuAnna Gray; brothers-in-law Ed Gray and Dick Gray; and niece Angie “Shorty” Gray.
