Cathy Jo “Cj” Wilson, 66, of Onawa, Iowa, formerly of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, January 8, 2022 at her residence.

Per Cj’s wishes, cremation has been accorded. A private family burial will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Omaha, Nebraska, at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

Cathy Jo was born October 2, 1955 in Omaha, Nebraska the daughter of Walter Earl and June Marie (Swanson) Wilson. Cj grew up in Omaha and graduated from Notre Dame Sisters High School in Omaha, Nebraska. She continued her education at University of Nebraska Omaha and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business.

She worked in marketing in various businesses around Omaha. Cj owned and operated a photography business called “Sonlight Photography” and loved capturing beautiful images. She loved her four dogs and spoiling them. She lived on Timber Lodge Lake near Valley, Nebraska for several years. Cj enjoyed camping and spending time with all of her family especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was involved in many community events in Omaha. Cj moved to Onawa, Iowa in 2019.

Survivors include her children, Aaron (Heather) Baldwin of Omaha, Nebraska, and Melodie (Aaron) DeRocher of Onawa, Iowa; grandchildren, Kylie, Caleb, Dylan, Blake, Lexie, Adalia, and Zach; great-grandchildren, Michael, Varian, and one on the way; sisters, Cynthia Wilson, and Lori (Nancy) Wilson; brother, Bruce (Kelly) Wilson; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and June Wilson; and former husband, Ronald “Ron” Ludwig.
