Dorothy V. (Collier) Silzer, 73, of South Sioux City died Thursday Dec. 19, 1996, at her daughter's home in Castana, Iowa.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Morningside Assembly of God Church, with the Rev. Thomas M. Jacobs officiating. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today, with the family present from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Larkin Northside Funeral Home.
Mrs. Silzer was born March 1, 1996, in Sioux City, the daughter of James and Mildred (Stillian) Pyle. She married Bob Silzer in 1963, in Luverne, Minn. She lived most of her life in Sioux City.
She was a former member of the Glendale Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons and their wives, Jim and Sally Collier of Sioux City and Everett Jr. and Anita Collier of Le Mars, Iowa; four daughters, Judy and her husband Gary Anderson of Minnetonka, Minn., Jerrie and her husband Gary Gilman of Drain, Ore., Virgina and her husband Stan Cox of Castana and Shaun Silzer of South Sioux City; 11 grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; and a brother, Arnold of Chicago, Ill.
