Rosemary Ankrum 1922 - 2002

Rosemary Ankrum, 79, of Sioux City, formerly of the Rodney and Oto, Iowa, areas, died Saturday, January 19, 2002, at Harvest Morningside Manor in Sioux City. Services were held Tuesday, January 22, 2002 at United Church of Christ in Rodney. Burial was in Grant Township Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Willman Funeral Home in Rodney.

Rosemary was born December 9, 1922 in Sioux City to Ember and Marie (Tolifor) Seeman. She married Wilbur Ankrum Sr. on July 13, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois. She worked at Swift Meat Packing. She had been a resident of the Rodney and Oto area her whole life. Mr. Ankrum died August 9, 1986 in Sioux City.

Her hobbies were crossword puzzles, reading, latch work and painting.

Survivors include five sons, Art Ankrum and his wife, Sue of Rincon, Georgia, Wilbur Ankrum Jr. and his wife, Jane of Washta, Iowa, Ember Ankrum and his fiancée, Gail Krumvieda of North Sioux City, LeRoy Ankrum of Raleigh, North Carolina and Larry and his wife, Rose of Holton, Texas; four daughters, Stella and her husband, Phillip Hayworth of Anthon, Iowa, Norma and her husband, Bill Brasel of Anthon, Jessie and her husband, David Holcomb of Correctionville, Iowa and Judy Ankrum of Storm Lake, Iowa; 22 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and three nieces.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a nephew, a great-granddaughter and a sister, Pearl Kelly.
