Ada Marie Helkenn, 92, formerly of Schleswig, passed away on Monday, Jan. 13, 2020, at Maple Heights Nursing Home in Mapleton.

Public Visitation: 4-7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 3, with a Rosary at 4 p.m., Pauley Jones Pfannebecker Funeral Home in Denison.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 4, Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ida Grove.

Burial: St. Ann’s Cemetery in Vail following the Mass of Christian Burial.

Ada is survived by her children, Ellen Janssen and her husband, Mark, of Schleswig, Raymond Helkenn and his wife, Sylvia, of Council Bluffs, Patricia Niehaus and her husband, Bob, of Vail, Cecelia Jackson and her husband, Bob, of Crystal Beach, Texas, Judith Jensen and her husband, Larry, of Schleswig, William Mark Gerad Helkenn of Schleswig, Timothy Helkenn and his special friend, Betty, of Schleswig, Jennifer Boeckman and her husband, Jim, of Schleswig; 20 grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
