December 15, 1943 ~ August 5, 2019 (age 75)

Howard “Howie” D. Inman, 75, of Onawa, Iowa passed away Monday, August 5, 2019 at Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa, Iowa.

A memorial service will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 12, 2019 at the First Christian Church in Onawa, Iowa with Pastor Michael Lewis, officiating. Music selections will be “Jesus Loves Me”, “Confidence”, and “In The Garden”. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Mapleton, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.

Howard Dean Inman was born December 15, 1943 in Walnut, Iowa the son of Rex Lewis and Dorothy Christina (Nielsen) Inman.

Howie has been a client with Crossroads of Western Iowa for many years.

He loved puzzles, listening to music, and being a “jokester”. He also loved to go on outings with his friends. Howie was a joy to be around and was always willing to help out. He especially enjoyed helping with the “adopt a highway” program through Crossroads. He would always wear his baseball cap and lanyard when he was out and about. His gentle soul will forever be remembered.

He was a member of the First Christian Church in Onawa, Iowa.

He is survived by his many friends at Crossroads of Western Iowa; a good friend, Cindy Jochims and her family of Mapleton, Iowa; and several other family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rex and Dorothy Inman; and several other family members and friends.

Honorary Bearers will be Gabe Block, Roger Peasley, Skylar Johnson, Travis Addink, Michael Kepner, George Croson, and Alan Schultz.
