26 November 1931Mrs. Della Clay Dies In California
Mrs. Della Clay, born in Monona County, 11 miles east of Onawa. Residing in this section until 11 years old died in Long Beach, California November 12, after a short illness.
Mrs. Clay’s parents are well known to many local people. Both born and reared here, they lived here until 1888 when they moved to California where Mrs. Clay preceded them by 3 years because of health that demanded a milder climate. Mrs. Clay in after years, returned and visited in this community.
Burial of the deceased was at Pomona Cemetery, 45 miles from Long Beach. Close living relatives are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. George S. Bisbee of Long Beach, two sisters, Mrs. GS Curry of Exeter and Mrs. Mamie Reiley of Chino and a brother G.W. Bisbee of Pomopa, California and a daughter, Mrs. Frank Allen of Pima, Arizona.
