Funeral Held For Mrs. C. Fouts

Last Sunday Afternoon At The Onawa Christian Church Rev. Walker Officiating.
She Was 55 Years and 6 Months Old. Leaves A Husband And 2 Sons To Mourn Her Death. She Had Been Ill For Some Time.

Cora Elva Evans, daughter of Sarah and John Evans was born May 12, 1876 and died November 12, 1931, age 55 years, 6 months.

When a child they moved to York, Nebraska, where she grew to young womanhood. At the age of 16 she became a member of the Methodist Church which she has always held her membership.

In the year 1896 she was united in marriage to Clarence Fouts of Waterloo, Nebraska. To this union 3 children were born, Earl, Isaac and Raymond.

She leaves to mourn her loss her husband and 2 sons, Earl of Pisgah and Raymond of Onawa, 1 sister, Mrs. R.E. Holyoke of Mitchell, Nebraska, 3 brothers, J.E. Evans of Douglas, Wyoming, D.B. Evans of Thurston, Nebraska and C.J. Evans of Blair, Nebraska and father-in-law, I.N. Fouts who has made his home with them for the last few years, besides many friends and near relatives. Her son Isaac preceded her in death in his infancy.

She was a loyal wife and loving mother and a true friend. She was always cheerful and made many friends wherever she went. She died trusting her Savior and cheering her loved ones to the last.

Funeral services were held at the Christian Church Sunday afternoon at 1:00 o’clock in charge of the pastor, Rev. Orval E. Walker.
