Virginia Signe Moberg, Sloan, Iowa went home to be with her Lord on May 20,2009 at Whiting, Iowa following a life of dedication and service to her God, her family and those entrusted to her care.

Virginia was born in Braham, MN on June 29, 1920 to Eric and Emma Seaborg. She received her Registered Nursing degree from Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago in 1947 and served as a nurse her entire working life until she retired as Director of Nursing at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Whiting, Iowa in 1989.

In 1947 Virginia married Reverend D. Edward Moberg and raised five children while serving Evangelical Covenant Churches in Kingsdale, MN, Sioux City, IA Odebolt, IA, Laramie, WY, Scranton, KS, and Sloan, IA.

She is survived by her children. Carl (Pam) Moberg of Aberdeen, SD, Donald (Sandy) Moberg of Kearney, NE, Elaine Roberts of Humble, TX, Mark (Linda) Moberg of Redstone, MT and Gary (Denise) Moberg of Sloan, IA; thirteen grandchildren, Steven, Gina, Katie, Molly, Jamie, Candice, Brandon, Sandy, Eric, Kevin, Kristi, Liselle and Ethan; and twelve great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Doloris Goetz of Cambridge, MN and Doris Nelson of Minneapolis, MN; many nieces and-Nephews and dear friends from all the communities in which she lived and served.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward; her parents, Eric and Emma; brothers, Wendell, Paul and Vernon; sister, Adeline and daughter-in-law, Clarice Moberg.

Funeral services were 10:30 A.M. Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Evangelical Covenant Church at Sloan with Rev. Richard J. Moore officiating. Music selections were the congregation singing "In The Garden", "Great Is Thy Faithfulness", "Day By Day" and "For The Beauty Of The Earth". Adrianna Radosti was pianist. Burial was in Fairview Township Cemetery at Albaton, Iowa. Visitation was 5:00 - 800 P.M. Friday with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. all at the church. Arrangements were under the direction of Rush Family Care Service at Onawa, Iowa.

Casket bearers were Steven Roberts, Kevin, Eric, Ethan, and Brandon Moberg, Brian Miller, Ty Tlustosch, Rod Snyder and Abraham Murz.
