William "Bill" Wagner, 66, Broomfield, Colorado, formerly of Onawa, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at a Hospice Center in Louisville, Colorado.

A graveside memorial service was 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Belvidere Cemetery at Turin, Iowa with Pastor Harvey Hanson officiating. Music selections were solos, "How Great Thou Art", "Amazing Grace" and "When I Get Where I'm Goin". Nancy Hanson, Becky Marcum and Darren Goslar were soloists. Military honors were conducted by American Legion Grimsley Thayer Post #502, Castana. Arrangements were under the direction of Rush Family Care Service at Onawa.

Bill was born May 6, 1942 at Onawa, Iowa, the son of Bud and Doris (Hanson) Wagner. He was raised in Turin and attended school at Turin and Castana. He graduated in the 1961 class of Castana High School. He served his country in the United States Air Force January 9, 1962 until May 27,1966.

Bill married Linda Davis in Reno, Nevada while he was in the service. He adopted Brenda at the age of 2. His son, Steven Lyle Wagner was born March 22,1966. The family relocated to Colorado where Bill worked for Wonder Bread and Hamilton Linen Service as a route man.

Bill was blessed to marry his second wife, Anita J. Nichols June 22, 1979. Anita had two children, Eddie and Danielle. Bill, Anita and the four children enjoyed sports, bowling and traveling. Bill retired at 55 years of age. He enjoyed those retirement years traveling many places and spending happy times with his family including his Mom.

Survivors include his wife, Anita of Broomfield; three children, Brenda, Eddie (Cheryl) and Danielle (Bret) all of Colorado; five grandchildren, Brennen, Sierra, Carl, Calvin and Siena; his mother, Doris Wagner of Onawa and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bud and a son, Steve
