30 October 2008HOLSTEIN, Iowa -- Judy Pearl Ankrum, 52, of Holstein passed away Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services were held Oct. 18 at United Church of Christ in Rodney, Iowa, where the Rev. Karen Handke officiated. Burial was in Grant Township Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Willman Funeral Home in Rodney.
Judy Pearl Ankrum, the daughter of Wilbur Ross Ankrum Sr. and Amber Rosemary (Seemann) Ankrum, was born Jan. 28, 1956 in Iowa City, Iowa. She attended Anthon-Oto Schools and graduated in 1975. Following graduation, she lived in Sioux City and worked at various jobs. On April 30, 1980, she was blessed with the birth of her daughter, Breanna. In recent years, she made her home in Holstein and worked at I.S.I. in Battle Creek, Iowa.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and caring for her plants. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter and her husband, Breanna and Brett Peterson of Lincoln, Neb.; two grandchildren, Faith Isabella Peterson and Lance Matthew Peterson; four brothers and their wives, Art and Sue Ankrum of Franklin, Tenn., Wilbur and Jane Ankrum of Washta, Iowa, LeRoy and Debra Ankrum of Hillsborough, N.C., and Larry and Rose Ankrum of Carrollton, Texas; three sisters and their husbands, Stella and Phil Hayworth of Anthon, Iowa, Norma and Bill Brasel of Anthon and Jessie and David Holcomb of Correctionville, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Gail Ankrum of North Sioux City; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ember in 2007; and a grandniece, Kama Marie Ankrum.
