Robert C. “Bob” Adams, 84, of Onawa, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at Burgess Health Center in Onawa.

Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 16, 2019, at the First Christian Church in Onawa, with Pastor Michael Lewis officiating. Burial will take place in the Woodbine Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 16, 2019, at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa.

Robert Charles Adams was born on May 22, 1934, in Dunlap, Iowa, to Daniel and Mary (McDunn) Adams. He served in the United States Army from 1956 -1958.

Bob married Marva Lee Baxter on March 20, 1980, in Omaha, Nebraska.

He worked for Pepsi for 31 years until he retired in 1989. Upon retiring, the couple moved to Lake View, Iowa, where Bob worked for Lake View City Parks. The couple has lived in Onawa since 2006.

Bob enjoyed sweets, coffee, popcorn, and his family.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Marva Adams of Onawa, IA; children, Kimberly Gibb of Omaha, NE, Dawn (Andy) David of Omaha, NE, Jim (Brenda) Thompson of Onawa, IA, and Jerry (Cat) Thompson of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Nicole, Patty, Crystal, Annie, Brandon, Danielle (Steve), Jon, Devin, Jessica, and Miranda; a beloved Poppa to 11 great-grandchildren; a foster dad to numerous children, including Christina (Roger) Belknap, Teresa, Tonya, and Lisa; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Mary (McDunn) Adams; brother, John Adams; and sister, Marjorie Bissen.
