Rites Held at Plainview for Mrs. F. Schmidt

Plainview, Nebraska—Special: Funeral services for Mrs. Fred Schmidt, whose body was brought here from Gordon Nebraska, Thursday morning, were held at the Methodist Church Thursday afternoon.

She was born November 22, 1880, in Monona County, near Moorhead, Iowa and died at Gordon, March 2.

She attended Woodbine normal school and taught school in Monona County.

She was married to Fred Schmidt, March 10, 1902 and for several years lived on a farm near Moorhead. In 1906 they moved to Logan, Iowa where Mr. Schmidt died that fall in 1930, she moved with her five sons and one daughter to Gordon, where she had made her home since.

Mrs. Schmidt was an active member of the Rebekah Lodge, the Home Advancement Club and was a member of the board of education at Gordon.
