Baby Kafton lifted to heaven July 2

Stephen Kafton, an angel was born to Brett and Jodi Kafton on July 2, 2006. They held him in their arms only moments, but in their hearts, he will remain forever, their own little angel.

Private graveside services were held July 6, 2006 at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery with Msgr. Duchaine officiating.

Survivors include parents, Brett and Jodi Kafton, sister, Jessie Hamman, brothers, Brody and Bryce Kafton. Grandparents are Arvin and Carole Kafton of Mapleton, Bonnie Wacheldorf of Mapleton and Larry Collins of Sioux City, Great-grandparents are Gilbert and Helen Rauterkus, Wilma Kafton and Margaret Wacheldorf, all of Mapleton. Special aunt, Kate Wacheldorf of Sergeant Bluff is his godmother and numerous loving aunts, uncles, family and friends.

Awaiting him in heaven are great-grandparents, Elmer Wacheldorf, Herluf Kafton, John and Elizabeth Collins and a special angel, Stephanie Parr.
