Patricia Gay Wood, 59, Onawa, Iowa died Thursday, October 6, 2005 at Burgess Health Center, Onawa.

Patricia was born November 17, 1945 at Ute, Iowa, the daughter of Everett and Darlene (Marth) Peasley. She was raised and educated in Onawa. She married Homer Wood October 1, 1961 at the First Christian Church in Onawa. She was a nurse’s aide at Burgess Health Center, Elmwood Care Centre and a personal care provider for Mae Crawford.

She was baptized at First Christian Church where she was also a member.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Homer of Onawa; six children, Dawn Chandler of Theodor, AL, Rafe Wood of Brookings, OR; Jane Wood of Greeley, CO and Heidi Duffy, Audie Wood and Matthew Wood all of Onawa; her mother, Darlene of Onawa; thirteen grandchildren and a great grandson.

She was, preceded in death by her father, Everett Peasley. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at Rush Family Chapel, Onawa, Iowa with Rev. Dennis Olsen, officiating. Music selections were "Amazing Grace" and "23r d Psalm". Marie Whiteing was soloist and provided her own accompaniment. Burial was in Onawa Cemetery. Visitation was from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
