12 December 2018S. Lee Stukenholtz, 62, of Onawa, Iowa died Friday, December 7, 2018 at Burgess Health Center in Onawa, Iowa.
A memorial service will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at the Rush Family Chapel in Onawa, Iowa with Pastor Catie Newman officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Onawa Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.
Lee was born October 13, 1956 in Onawa, Iowa the son of Stanley L. and Jean M. (Newton) Stukenholtz. He grew up in Onawa and graduated from West Monona High School in 1975. He attended North Dakota State University on a basketball scholarship.
Lee and Janet Greenough were united in marriage on July 22, 1988 in Elk Point, SD., and celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary in July of this year. To this union two children were born, Cody and Cassie.
Lee worked for Virtue Engineering which was later acquired by Sundquist Engineering in Onawa, his entire working career until his retirement in 2017. For the past year he has worked maintenance at the Onawa Country Club.
Lee loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his wife and kids. He also enjoyed golfing with his children and riding motorcycles.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Stukenholtz of Onawa, IA; son, Cody Stukenholtz of Onawa, IA; daughter, Cassie Stukenholtz of Onawa, IA; sister, Ann Stukenholtz of Council Bluffs, IA; and several other family members and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Jean (Newton) Stukenholtz.
