Angie S. (Gray Palmer) Marlin, 37, of Onawa, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018, at Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa, surrounded by her family, after battling cancer for the past ten years.
Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, September 28, 2018, at the Rush Family Chapel in Onawa, with Evangelist Dale Wolf officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. Thursday, September 27, 2018, with a Time of Sharing at 7:00 P.M., at the Rush Family Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa.
Angela Sue was born on November 2, 1980, in Onawa, to Edwin Charles and Luanna (Bridgeman) Gray, Sr. She grew up in Mapleton and attended school at Maple Valley Anthon Oto High School.
She married Donald Palmer on July 1, 2000, and he preceded her in death in 2004. She later married Jason Marlin.
She worked as a CNA at Willow Dale Wellness Village in Battle Creek, Maple Heights Nursing Home in Mapleton, Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa, and Pleasant View Care Center in Whiting. She truly loved her work and taking care of the residents.
In her spare time, Angie enjoyed attending concerts and watching movies. She loved everyone in her life and would do anything for her loved ones. She especially loved her brothers, nieces, and nephews, and enjoyed buying them Christmas gifts every year. She was a fighter to the end.
Survivors include her mother, Luanna Gray of Onawa, IA; her brothers, Edwin Gray Jr. of Onawa, IA, Travis Gray of Mapleton, IA, and Wesley Gray of Onawa, IA; grandmother, Betty Gray of Onawa, IA; step-grandmother, Mary Berry of Mapleton, IA; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Palmer; her father, Edwin Gray Sr.; grandfather, Donald H. Gray; grandparents, Robert “Bob” and Elsie Bridgeman; and uncle, Donnie R. Gray.
