Bernice Clausen, 92, of Onawa, Iowa passed away, Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Pleasant View Care Center in Whiting, Iowa.

Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Monday, February 12, 2018 at the Faith Lutheran Church in Onawa, Iowa with Pastor Shari Schwedhelm officiating. Burial will be in Belvidere Cemetery, rural Turin, Iowa. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, February 11, 2018 with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the Rush Family Chapel in Onawa, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.

Bernice was born June 16, 1925 in Ute, Iowa the daughter of Robert and Barbara (Hall) Pardee. She attended school in Onawa while growing up. Bernice and Arnold Clausen were united in marriage on September 15, 1945 in Seattle, Washington.

Bernice worked in assembly and production of radio's at the Windcharger Corporation in Sioux City, Iowa for several years. She was a homemaker and raised her children and loved spending time with her family. She also loved cooking, baking, canning, sewing, gardening, and flowers. In her younger years, she loved archery and could out shoot even her husband, Arnold.

Bernice was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Onawa, Iowa.

Survivors include her children, Ronald (Linda) Clausen of Sioux City, Iowa, Rodney Clausen of Greenville, South Carolina, and Evelyn "Evie" (Max) Bonine of Onawa, Iowa; grandchildren, Jason Clausen, Scott (Jessica) Clausen, Rhonda (Ryan) Gorski, Tevie Lester, Hydie Poole, and Angie Lester; great-grandchildren, David Clausen, Cortnie Lester, Kloie Lester, Jersie Lester, Josh Dandurand, Jennifer Gorski, and Connor Gorski; and several nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Barbara (Hall) Pardee; her husband, Arnold Clausen on August 4, 2013; brother, Robert McFree; and sister, Anna May (Torgeir) Laupsa.
