Seth A. Scott, 70, of Sioux City died Saturday, January 15, 2000 at his residence.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Nativity Catholic Church, with the Rev. Dan Greving, associate pastor at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Larkin Morningside Funeral Home.

Mr. Scott was born July 25, 1929, in Onawa, Iowa, the son of Seth E. and Zella (Birk) Scott. He attended grade school in Blencoe, Iowa and graduated from Onawa High School in 1946.

He married Cecelia Campbell on February 11, 1950 in Sioux City.

He was employed with Chesterman Bottling Co. for five years. He was then employed with Sunshine Food Markets for 30 years, before retiring.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and enjoyed golfing.

Survivors include his wife, two daughters and their husbands, Linda and Patrick Rourick of St. Aasgar, Iowa and Debra and Kent Larson of Moville, Iowa, a son, Richard A. of Sioux City, nine grandchildren, Richard Jr., Mellissa, Anglie, Annette and Nicole Scott, Brendan, Blaine and Megan Rourick and Adam Larson, six great-grandchildren, a brother and his wife, Thomas and Charlette of Elkhorn, Nebraska and a sister-in-law, Marg Scott of Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Erwin.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Cutler, Seth E. Scott, George Norris, Chester Jablonski, Gail Mitzner and Gene Harbeck.
