Funeral Services for Mrs. Robert Wagner Held Last Thursday

Nellie Evelyn Riley was born July 19, 1904 in Monona County, near Sloan, Iowa. She moved with her parents, to this community in 1913 at the age of twelve. She departed this life on July 23, 1940 at the age of 36 years and 4 days.

She became a member of the Turin Methodist church in early girlhood and attended grade school here. She also went to high school in Castana. She was united in marriage to Robert William Wagner on Dec. 25, 1925.

To this union were born seven children, Robert, Jimmie, Lois, Nellie May, Ronald, Mary and baby. She leaves to mourn her early departure the husband Robert, the children, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Riley, of Onawa, la; 3 sisters, Mrs. Vernie Nelson of Staunchfleld, Minn. Mrs. Louis Wagner, Soldier Iowa; and Mrs. Lovay Rush of Sloan, Iowa; Six brothers, William, Alva, Zene, John Ervin and Delmar, also her grandmother, Mrs. Violet Napier of Sloan Iowa.

Besides her relatives she leaves a host of friends by whom she will always be kindly remembered.

Funeral was conducted by Rev. A. Pruitt of Smithland in the Turin Methodist church at two o'clock Thursday afternoon. Burial was in Belvidere Cemetery.
