Dallas Paul Seward, 42, of Onawa, Iowa, died Sunday, July 9, 2017, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, July 14, 2017, at the Whiting Christian Church in Whiting, Iowa, with Pastor Josh Weece officiating. Burial will follow in the Onawa Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Thursday, July 13, 2017, at the Rush Family Chapel in Onawa. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa.

Dallas Paul Seward was born on November 16, 1974, in Onawa, the third son of Bryan and Peggy (Wintjen) Seward. He graduated from West Monona High School in 1993.

He had various jobs over the years, and most recently worked for CHS Inc. in South Sioux City, Nebraska.

He was a member of the Whiting Christian Church. He enjoyed art, music, firearms, fishing, and watching football, especially the Oklahoma Sooners and the Kansas City Chiefs. Most of all, he loved spending time with his children.

Survivors include his children, Margaret Janice Lynn Rost of Mill Spring, NC, Sierra Elizabeth Siebersma-Seward of Onawa, IA, and Dian Aaron Bryan Seward of Oakland, IA; his father and stepmother, Bryan and Roxanne Seward of Whiting, IA; his mother, Peggy Seward of Onawa, IA; two brothers and their wives, Jeff (Jenny) Seward and Curt (Kelly) Seward, all of Onawa, IA; two step-brothers and their wives, Curtis (Stephanie) Martindale of Turin, IA and Isaac (Amy) Martindale of Smithland, IA; and nieces and a nephew; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved dog, Dexter.
