Moorhead, Iowa-- Doris Irene Jepson, 69, of Moorhead died Sunday, October 27, 1996 at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Moorhead Christian Church with Pastor John Eilers officiating. Burial will be in Ingeman Cemetery near Moorhead. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Pearson Funeral Home in Onawa.

Mrs. Jepson was born April 2, 1927, in Soldier, the daughter of George and Maude (Lovell) Butler. She graduated from Soldier High School in 1944.

On September 21, 1952, she married Allan “Tuffy” Jepson in Onawa. They farmed near Moorhead. She worked at the Onawa Hospital as a nurse’s aide for seven years and part time at other care facilities. She was a waitress at Blue Bonnet Café in Moorhead. Mr. Jepson died February 7, 1985, at Onawa.

Mrs. Jepson was a member of the Moorhead Christian Church, Women’s Circle, Monona County Democrat Party and the Eagles Lodge. She enjoyed photographing Loess Hills and studying local history.

Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Wanda Carrier and Mitch of Moville and Wilma and Steve Kaps of Arcadia, Nebraska; two sons, Wayne and his friend, Lory Reiners of Onawa and Waran and his wife, Liana of Lakewood, Colo., a brother, Glen Butler of Soldier and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Arlin Terry.
