Brenda Morlan, 64, of Onawa, Iowa, died Sunday, May 21, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. Thursday, May 25, 2017, at the Rush Family Chapel in Onawa, with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M., officiated by Pastor Michael Lewis.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa.

Brenda Kaye was born on June 29, 1952, in Onawa, the daughter of Curt and Delores (Clark) Madsen. She graduated from West Harrison High School in Mondamin in 1970.

Brenda and Albert Morlan were united in marriage in 1971. To this union, one daughter was born.

She worked as a waitress at the Happy Chef and Oehler Brothers restaurants in Onawa for over twenty years.

She was an avid reader, the family historian, and the favorite aunt of her nieces and nephews.

Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Riley of Eagan, MN; siblings, Dee Ann Samuelson of Manly, IA, Craig (Jody) Madsen of Council Bluffs, IA, Mark (Jill) Madsen of Logan, IA, and Yovette "Too-Too" Murphy of Mason City, IA; brother-in-law, Ronald "Frog" Carter of Onawa, IA; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Curt Madsen; her mother and stepfather, Delores and Ed Wolfgram; husband, Albert Morlan; and two sisters, Debbie Madsen and Lori Carter.
