Mrs. M. Risetter, 89, Longtime Resident of Monona County, Dies

Onawa, Iowa—Special: Mrs. Malinda Risetter, 89, a resident of Monona County since 1909, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. John A. Johnson here Thursday.

Mrs. Risetter was born in Norway and came to the United States when she was a year and a half old. She and her husband lived in the Whiting area until 1912 when they moved to Onawa. Mr. Risetter died in 1926.

Surviving besides the daughter are two sons, Lars C. and Harvey O. Risetter, both of Lee, Illinois; three sisters; one brother; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the John A. Johnson’s home and at 2 p.m. in the Pearson Funeral Home. The body will be taken to Lee for final services and burial.
