Raymond A. Lee, 75, of Onawa, Iowa, died Saturday, November 5, 2016 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Faith Lutheran Church in Onawa, Iowa, with Vicar Shari Schwedhelm officiating. Burial will follow in the Onawa Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at the Rush Family Chapel in Onawa. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa.

Raymond Ardell Lee was born August 15, 1941 in Ute, Iowa, the son of Ardell and Lenora (Nagel) Lee. He attended Whiting High School with the class of 1960.

Raymond and Shirley Mae Bellis were united in marriage October 29, 1960 in Elk Point, South Dakota. The couple moved to Onawa, Iowa that same year.

He worked as an over-the-road truck driver for Loomis Trucking from 1960-1996, then for Ruan Trucking of Omaha until he retired in 2009 at the age of 68. He continued helping with the Western Iowa Co-op in Onawa until he became ill in 2012.
Survivors include five children, Shelley (Dave) Hartmann of Gretna, NE, Rickey (Julie) Lee of Springfield, NE, Rodney (Andrea) Lee of Omaha, NE, Sheila (Thomas) Suggs of Omaha, NE, and Shari (Jeffrey) Ellison of Elkhorn, NE; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his special friend and companion of nine years, Beth Mauch of Onawa, IA; seven siblings, Ronnie Lee of Onawa, IA, Duane (Donna) Lee of Moorhead, IA, LaVern (Crystal) Lee of Soldier, IA, Karen (Kevin) Clayton of Turin, IA, and Donna (Gerry) Sutton, Sharon Lee, and Roger (Kathy) Lee, all of Omaha, NE; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ardell and Lenora Lee; his wife, Shirley Mae Lee; and one sister, Ardith Roberts.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Burgess Home Health Hospice for the wonderful care by Missy Koenig and Jessica Davis.
