Maude Edith Seubert, 89, of Sioux City died Monday, April 29, 2002, at a Sioux City nursing home.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Central Assembly of God, with the Revs. Craig Mellendorf and Boyd Hoferman officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Albaton, Iowa. Visitation will be 3:30 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 7 to 8 p.m., at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel.

Mrs. Seubert was born June 24, 1912, in Albaton, the daughter of William Edward and Maggie (Wright) Queen. She attended school in the Sloan, Iowa, and Albaton area. She was a lifelong resident of Sloan and Siouxland.

She married Anton Jacob Seubert in 1935 in Homer, Neb. Mr. Seubert died in 1949. She did baby-sitting and housekeeping for several years.

She was an active member of Central Assembly of God. She enjoyed gardening and pets, along with spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include a son and his wife, George E. and Mary Jane Seubert of Bronson, Iowa; three grandsons and their wives, Tony and Traci of Sergeant Bluff, Ronald and Brenda of Okinawa, Japan, and Tim and Trish of Bronson; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; infant twin children, a son and daughter; a grandson, Scott Seubert; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel Clark and Gladys Hickman; and two brothers, Harold and Howard Queen.

Pallbearers will be Tony, Tim, Cody and Zachary Seubert, Norman Queen and John Goodwin.

Memorials in her name may be directed to the family.
