Sharon Kay (Gray) Farber, 74, of Onawa, Iowa, died Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the Sanford Care Center in Vermillion, South Dakota.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 P.M. Thursday, August 18, 2016 at the Rush Family Chapel in Onawa, Iowa, with Evangelist Dale Wolf officiating. Burial will follow in the Spring Valley Cemetery in Moorhead, Iowa. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa.

Sharon Kay was born on March 15, 1942 in Moorhead, Iowa, the daughter of Fern Everett and Erma Edna (McElwain) Gray. She graduated from Moorhead Community School in 1960.

She worked as a pharmacy assistant at Harris Drug in Onawa, Iowa, and as a bookkeeper and store clerk for various businesses in the area including the B&B Roundup and the Act II Consignment Store in Onawa. She was the most proud of owning and operating Sharon's Café in Moorhead.

Sharon enjoyed collecting angels, reading, and crocheting. She loved animals and was the most avid Elvis Presley fan.

She was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Foundation, the Eagle's Auxiliary, and the Community of Christ Church (RLDS) of Onawa.
Survivors include her daughter, Tammy (Bob) Andrews of Beresford, SD; two grandsons, David (Rheanon Larson) Andrews of Brandon, SD and Daniel (Samantha Farnsworth) Andrews of Canton, SD; two brothers, Jim Gray of Soldier, IA and Roger (Carol) Gray of Onawa, IA; one nephew, Jeff (Kim) Gray of Winterset, IA; three nieces, Trisha Thelander of Sergeant Bluff, IA, Becky (William) Gangestad of Soldier, IA, and Kerri Gray of Castana, IA; her best friend since childhood, Linda Heffernan of Prairie Village, KS; and many great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fern and Erma Gray.
