Mrs. Wm. Sammin Rites Held Tuesday

Mary E. Corley was born near Ruthven, Iowa April 1877 and died in December 22, 1939 after a lingering illness.

On April 24, 1900 she was united in marriage to Mr. Wm. Sammin of Ayrshire, Iowa. She is survived by her husband and four children, William and Florence of Omaha, Cletus of Parsons, Kansas, Floyd on Onawa and three sisters and three brothers. Two children preceded her in death, Catherine, Aug 26, 1921 and Mary, Aug. 29, 1921.

Mrs. Sammin was a member of the Catholic faith and the funeral was held at St. John’s Church. Rev. Father P.P. Gearen-said. Requiem Mass at 9:30 Tuesday morning. Burial was at Graceland Cemetery.

Those attending the funeral from out of town were Mrs. Charles Waldron, a sister and her son, Robert of Emmetsburg; Mrs. Lou Loomis, a sister and her husband of Spencer, Iowa; a niece, Miss Catherine Corley of Sioux City; Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Sammin, Miss Florence Sammin and Mr. A Chantry, all of Omaha.
